The commitee, members & helpers converted a previously rundown portacabin away from the entrance to the ground as top priority. Electrical and plumbing work, roof repairs, internal fittings and kitchen, now means we have a new shop where supporters can purchase pre-match and half-time eats and drinks.

On the outside, from ground level upwards, former Vale goalkeeper Gary Keenan built up a foundation of blocks upon which decking has ensured a walk-way, with adjoining stairs into the portacabin, and added to the overall appearance and the finished structure is fantastic.

Said Jim Wilson: "The amount of work that has gone into the building is amazing. The away dressing room walls have been painted, and plans are in place to rip out old and replace with new seating. The home dressing room has already been spruced up, and Jim revealed work will switch to the manager's office, and kit (both training gear and match-day strips) will come under his remit.

The playing surface has been sanded and seeded, and both goalmouths taped off and raised to help grass growth.

A willing band of workers have strimmed back weeds behind the dugout areas, and the technical areas painted. Behind both goals and the terracings at the pavilion-side of the park have been transformed,too.

When you consider these guys are working during the day, and are giving up their free time for the love of the club, then EVERYONE is due a huge vote of thanks for their efforts.
