WEST of SCOTLAND FIXTURE UPDATE 2010 - 2011

4th July 2010

League & Cup fixtures have now been released for the start of the new season 2010 - 2011. Vale of Clyde will be competing in group 4 of the Sectional League Cup which gets underway with an away tie to Super League Premier new boy's Rutherglen Glencairn at The Clyde Gateway Stadium, Glasgow on wednesday evening 4th August. Our first league match of the new first division campaign will also involve a trip away to Hurlford Utd's, Blair Park. NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM ARRIVE AT FULLARTON 2010/1011

Vale of Clyde have a new management team in place before the start of the new season 2010/2011. With Gerry McGregor & Co leaving the club at the end of season 2009/2010, the Vale had to get a new coach and staff in place quickly. Club President Brian Kelly has informed us that the new coach is Brian Wright. Brian will be assisted by Martin Lauchlan at Fullarton. Now playing our football in the Super League first division, the new team will set about organising the playing squad. I'd like to wish the new management all the best. FOOTBALL VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS - SEASON 2010

As the season draws to a close you will now be aware that i have tried managed to get along to as many of our home matches as possible. It has'nt been easy due to my present work commitments of double back & nightshifts. It has however been very rewarding on my part to feel part of the club again, although in a very different way. Making football videos for the club as part of our new website has at times had me pulling my hair out, and there's not much left to pull, but were getting there. As you are aware, i like to add some background music to spice them up a touch. I have now got the go ahead to use promotional tracks by an up and coming young band, who go by the name of " A New Hope ". A new hope for a new season. Check out the band here [ A New Hope ]

End OF SEASON FOOTBALL CLUB DANCE

The Vale of Clyde Football Club end of season dance has been arranged for Friday evening 4th June 2010. The event will take place at The Fullarton Park Hotel, Tollcross Road, Glasgow and doors will open at 7.00pm. Along with the obvious disco, there will also be a buffet. Speaking with Club President Brian Kelly at the weekend, he hopes that the event will attract a decent crowd to Fullarton where Staff, players and the Faithful can enjoy a good night out. The website has now set up a new way of getting any latest news on the football club out to you immediately. For those of you who are not aware, the Scottish Juniors are coming together to form a brand new online news reporting programe for fans, players and staff which is at present hosted by Twitter. New ideas take time to perfect and this is no different, but at the moment there are some dedicated members willing to put an enormous amount of effort into making this a success. The Vale are a part of this new venture and invite our members to sign up for updates and be a part.
