Vale of Clyde secure their first league win of the season so far at New Petershill Park, Glasgow. The Peasy took the lead after 58 minutes of play when Petershill's Ross McCabe got his head on the end of a corner kick which he duly despatched past Vale goalkeeper Johnstone. With the Vale faithful fearing the worst, the team stepped up a gear and got their reward when Chris Paul levelled the scoring in the 81st minute, also from a well delivered corner kick. As the match looked to be ending all square, Vales Craig Murphy set off on a great run and set up Marc Gannon with the chance to seal the tie. Gannon fired past peasy keeper Nugent and the points were secured for the Tin Pail.

This was our first league win of the season and a good performance by all considering we had 5 first choice players missing through injury and suspension. New sigings McCole and Smith look like they will be important players for us in the months to come.
