vETERANS : Ex / players
Welcome to our Football Club History Pages - The Veterans,
This section has been inspired by the McBride family, now living in Canada.
John Connell McBride is an ex Vale of Clyde footballer.
Now a tender age of 85, Jack, to family & friends was a winger who wore the Navy Blue and has fond memories of his time at the football club.
It is with special thanks to his daughter Elizabeth, who came accross our website by chance and remembered that her dad was one of ours many years ago.
This is the inspiraton for our veterans section, which i hope will bring other ex-players / family with a story to tell about their time at the Vale of Clyde Football Club.
Thank you once again Jack & Elizabeth McBride.
By clicking on the image(s) below, you will be taken to the players home page.
Did you once play for the Tin Pail ?
Do you have a story to tell ?

Ex Vale of Clyde Footballers & Staff,
Firstly, let me welcome you to the new website and i hope you like the set-up. This is where you can come together and post messages, with the hope that you can get contact with some of your auld team-mates and pals from yesteryear.
You may, if you wish, follow Jack's lead (above) by sending me some info about yourself and have your own webpage here at the site !. Or just leave a message in our widget opposite, it's entirely your choice.
I'm sure that visitors will be intrigued to read your post and just might re-kindle some good memories.
Thanks to Tom Getty ex-Vale player/captain of the 1960's for unknowingly giving me this idea to include a message/search box within this section. Did YOU know Tom, do You remember him as a player ?, if so then why dont you leave a message and exchange contact details.
Regards,
Andy, football club webmaster

Hello again Tom,
I spoke about your contact with the committee after our match v Clydebank 6th March 2010 and i have been asked by David Armitage to say hello on his & Robert Jackson's behalf. David let me take a snap of the pic above, which is on view in our new club cabin. Tell us a bit about the pic Tom, if you can remember the day it was taken.
Take care pal,
Andy - Webmaster
